I have decided to dedicate this week  to father's day. So I will introduce you to a few African designers that design for men. Even though 90% of ciaafrique's readers are women I am sure we all have men in our lives whether its our fathers, brothers, boyfriends or husbands that we buy gifts for . My father is far away from me therefore  he will only  get  a phone call to wish him happy father's day. I still have to help the kids with their gifts. I am really bad at buying gifts especially for men , I always worry about buying the wrong thing and lets be honest when you are with someone a certain amount of years you kind of run of ideas.  I found a few items  that i like and that you might want to add to your list  next time you shop for the man in your life . As you all know I want to keep this blog interesting and add new type of posts every 2 to 3 months. I have been reading for a while now some of the most fabulous DIY sites and decided to try one of the easiest of all: button earrings. There are quite a few different ways to do this,so you if you find this complicated feel free to check Google.If I am able to do this you all can. This is a way to customize your earrings and save money by doing so.All of the items are available at your local fabric store. Etsy is one of my favorite stores. As you may know everything sold on the website is handmade. The website has a lot of African inspired clothing and handbags and also a lot  things made with African Fabrics. Josephine Baker from the Us is the creator and the designer behind Boxing Kitten. According to her website she started designing when she was 10 years old. Her designs tend to be more like vintage couture. The reason why I decided to feature Boxing kitten on Ciaafrique is because she is very talented and she only uses African fabrics ( Wax Hollandais) as we call it in west Africa. I like to show my support to African talents but also anybody that uses African materials.I think she should be an inspiration to all of the designers out there to use African Fabric because we do have some nice Prints.Her clothes are worn by stars like Eryka Badu, Christina Milian, Solange, Beyonce, Fergie, and DJ Rashida.
