To say that I have a crush on each of these pieces is an understatement. In fact I am not sure if its also the model selling the clothes.She is such a beautiful curvy woman. If you guys know her name please let me know. Summer is a great time to wear all your cute and printed maxi dresses. These were designed by a fabric company for inspiration, so run to your tailor to make you one. SEXY AFRICAN PRINT LINGERIE BY ATIKLAMAN

 Nothing says Valentine's day than Roses, chocolates  and of course a perfect pair of Lingerie. Every year on valentine's week I spotlight the work of  some our (Africans) lingerie designers , so this year I would like to introduce you to French based line Ati Klaman. They design their lingerie with African print fabrics otherwise known as kitenge or Ankara. Stella Jean's Collections give me so much inspiration on how to mix my African print with other prints. These look are so effortless but not everyone can pull it off.

What a way to start this new year !  I absolutely love this editorial from  Elle South Africa January 2013 Issue. The editorial   titled "Jozi Maboneng" which was  shot by Ross Garrett  features pieces from  African designers such as  Deola SagoeMarianne Fassler , Ituen Basi,  Loin Cloth and Ashes, Taibo Bacar Gavin Rajah and more .... I reported back in October the very exciting news about the collaboration of Nigerian designer Duro Olowu and American retail giant JCpenney. Now we can all take a glance at what is waiting for us next March. The collection includes shoes, handbags, clothes and a few home items which will be available both in store and online. Almost nothing is over $50 but one thing I am not sure about is the size of the garments . What is the biggest size for these pieces ? Both ladies love fashion and decided two fashionable minds are better than one. MontRosee is a versatile label with a fusion between Afro-modern, vintage, classic, and chic. I am currently loving Manoir Coloré, which is a French based label by Bayi de Souza. I found them Via Tumblr however I could not find much about the designer. Here is how they describe the line on their Pinterest page:
" NO MELANIN FREE, French handmade refined and tribal fashion design". Designer, artistic, Manoir Coloré reinvented fashion defying its conventions, creating a refined tribal fashion. Manoir Coloré followed no rules, epitomising the very modern values of cultures mixity and passion.

These cute kitenge hats are selling fast they are made by Moupia.We've seen Solange Knowles wearing a similar hat by South African designer Babatunde a few weeks ago.

SOLANGE KNOWLES LOOKS STUNNING ON THE COVER OF ELLE SOUTH AFRICA




As previously reported on this post here we are finally getting a glance at the cover of Solange Knowles on the cover of Elle South Africa. In case you are wondering which designer made Solange clothes on this cover , She is wearing Shorts from   South African designer Loin Cloth and Ashes and a printed top from Tart. The African tribal hand jewelry are from Pichulik. You know I am bias when it comes to Solo so I am not going to comment on the look . What do you think ?

You can ask me questions about African fashion, how to navigate this blog.......
