JEWEL BY LISA -- MTN LAGOS FASHION AND DESIGN WEEK 2012
Nigerian luxury design house Jewel by Lisa introduced their latest collection at the MTN Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2012. I am a big fan of Jewel by Lisa and they have released amazing collections in the past but this is not one of my favorite ones. The collection is very coherent and well executed but I am just not feeling the prints. It looks sad , but way better than some other collections I have seen on the same runway. ARISE FASHION WEEK (LAGOS) REVEALS LIST OF DESIGNERS
I am so ready for another round of Arise Fashion week and I was very happy to receive the full list of the designers showing at the year fashion week . This year 77 designers from 6 continents will participate from March 6-11.
The ARISE Magazine Fashion Week – Lagos 2012 fashion extravaganza will run for an extended period of SIX days from Tuesday 6th March to Sunday 11th March 2012 in THREE tents on the grounds of the luxurious 5-Star Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos, Nigeria.

ANGELA SIMMONS LOVES HER SOME JEWEL BY LISA
This fashion week and awards season I have my eyes open to bring you all the celebs rocking our fave designers. I feel like I only been posting about Jewel by lisa in the past 2 weeks. From lala's cute skirt to June Ambrose lovely jacket and now Angela Simmons beautiful Jbl Clutches. Yep Angela Simmons owns not one but two Jewel by lisa's clutches. I love Angela because she loves wearing pieces from African designers. She previously carried a clutch from Urbanknit and wore Virgos lounge several times.

A couple days ago I posted pics Singer kelis in a zed eye Jacket here and before that in Jewel by Lisa shirt here . She has done again , kelis was spotted this past weekend in England wearing a cute African print wrap mini dress from Jewel by Lisa Spring 2010 collection. Thanks to my girl Rosemary of fashionjunkii for the update on this . I love the fact that Kelis is showing t everyone that its ok to wear something made by a foreign designer. I don't even know where to start , I have discovered so many talented African designers lately its unbelievable . You might think you learning a lot but I'm too at the same time, I almost run home everyday and grab my laptop just to do my research . There have been a lot buzz about the designer I am about to introduce to you today. Her name is Lisa ( you can read the bio below) she is doing such a phenomenal job and is making us African very proud.I've learned about her back in day in 2006 on Bella naija.She had just started her line then .The First thing that I look for when I check out a designer is their website . The way you present yourself is everything. Lisa is actually one of the designer out that has a very good website . It makes you want to see more . Jewel by Lisa was present at the Arise African fashion show in South Africa and her collection was off the hook.Once again who said Africa does not have talent?
