LOOKBOOK:A STORY OF JUSTAPOSITION FROM DELABIQUE

Juxtaposition is a term used to describe sharp contrast or opposites and this is exactly what this collection represents.The element of juxtaposition is in the fabrics used to create our most recent collection. The collection comprises of ankara, European print and solid colours. By using all three contrasting fabrics and texture in just one collection, we have been able to create a unified theme which is; powerful dressing. This collection is targeted at the opinionated woman who knows what she wants and is not afraid to combine an eclectic look that fits her powerful and unique personality. For us, it is about the brave woman who is ready to indulge in various fabrics and textures. Check out the rest of the pics below.

Q & A WITH ROFFIAT ANIBABA DESIGNER OF ROFFIANY

What is the name of your fashion label and its designer?
My fashion label is known as ROFFIANY! Which I got from my first and last name ( Roffiat Anibaba)


When was it established?
ROFFIANY was established in 2008 and I had my 1st Fashion Show in April 2009 to introduce my clothing line.


Where are you based?
I’m based in New York / New Jersey

Tell us about your fashion background, how you got started, why you got into fashion and the type of designs you do
It all began years ago, when I started getting compliments from people on my outfits when I go out. I always designed my own outfits every time I go out. I love pieces with tails and in African prints, I love African print, OMG I DO I can use African Prints to design anything, including accessories. Types of my designs are, dresses, jumpsuit, body suit, bikini suit, tank tops, head band, and also children outfits.

Liberian designer Fanta Kamara for Marazetti

 According to her website Fanta Kamara was born in Monrovia, Liberia, a small country on the West Coast of Africa. Wasn't too long before the country experienced its first major power struggle; a country of sixteen ethnic tribes of which everyone wanted a presidency representative. Chaos stroked and Liberia's fifteen years of civil war began. Rear in Monrovia, Guinea, Sierra Leone and Singapore, due to the war; unlike many others, Fanta experienced an unaccommodating childhood, but her strength and determination allowed her to have sustained the horrific war conditions. In late 2000, Fanta and her family moved to the United States, where she completed her secondary and post-secondary education. A tomboy growing up, fashion was the last thing on her mind; she studied Pharmacology, Management, Computer Programming and Information Technology at renowned universities in the US. Fanta's initial femini experience was her high school prom, where no baggy jeans, or basketball shorts, or Jordan, or Nikes, or Timberlands were allow;---dresses and stilettoes only! Everyone encouraged her to pursue modeling --- She first tried a hand at pageantry; after winning Miss Universal Youth and Miss Liberia Ohio, she decided pageantry bordered her-it was too tailored and didn’t allowed much creativity. Modeling became her new passion in life---staring in her college annual fashion shows to walking numerous of international runways including New York and Milan and being featured in major ad campaigns.
